Unfortunately Galway doesn't have an international airport within the city limits. However there are 2 airports that serve the city. Shannon international airport and Knock airport. Both airports are a 1 hour drive from Galway but Shannon is an international airport and the 3rd busiest airport in the country, so you will have a much better range of flights to choose from if you fly into Shannon. Only a 90 minute drive from Galway the Cliffs of Moher are a spectacle you have to see if you're in Galway. They rise to 702 feet (214 m) at their highest point and range for 8 kms (5 miles) over the Atlantic ocean. The scale of the cliffs is breath taking.
